Nothing! Golfability is free to all UK clubs. We ask that you collect a donation of at least £3 per player on the day. We will also help you with additional on-the-day fundraising if you wish. How What does my club need to do?
Simply pick a Stableford competition on which to hold your Golfability competition. We will send you everything you need including a poster to publicise the event in the club house and prizes for your winners. On the day collect and entry card plus at least £3 from each player and send these, along with your winners’ score cards to us. Which club competition days are suitable to be a Golfability day?
Any Stableford competition running in May, June or July 2010. Competitions outside these dates may be allowed – please contact us to confirm. Is there a separate Ladies’ event?
Yes. Ladies can play in the same competition and the top woman and man from each participating club are eligible to be invited to the GolfAbility Final at the Marriott Forest of Arden. What will club winners receive?
All participating clubs will receive a small trophy to award to their winning man and/or lady player on the day of their Golfability competition. Where and when will the GolfAbility Final be held?
The GolfAbility Final will be played on the Arden course at the Marriott Forest of Arden in Warwickshire on Monday 6 September 2010. The Men’s and Ladies’ finals will be played on the same day. How do you decide who is invited to the GolfAbility Final?
Clubs are asked to submit the winning scorecards from the male and female players who win their club Golfability competition. All winning scorecards are entered into a draw and 60 players will be selected at random to be invited to play at the Golfability Final at the Marriott Forest of Arden. I’m a high handicapper and so am unlikely to win – what’s in it for me?
Every player that enters Golfability will be entered into a free prize draw to win golf prizes. Simply ensure you have filled in your entry card and returned it to the competition organiser so they can send it to us.
